Kevin and Traci Wood have been married for 22 years and have three children – Graham (18), Lydia (16), and Fisher (13). They currently live in the Nashville area, but have also spent time in Birmingham, AL and Tupelo, MS. Kevin grew up as a military brat, born into an Air Force family that criss-crossed the country several times moving from one base to another. He logged time in New Jersey, California, Georgia, Texas, Washington D.C. / Maryland, and Florida – in that order. He was the third of six boys born to his parents and learned at a young age to referee fights between his brothers while trying to avoid them himself. There were three constants in their family life wherever they lived – an Air Force base, a Baptist church, and a baseball field. He still loves watching planes, coaching baseball, and serving his local church. Kevin surrendered his life to Christ at age 16 and then felt called into ministry at age 18. First Baptist Church Orange Park, FL confirmed that calling and licensed him into Gospel Ministry. Kevin graduated from Samford University with a B.A. in History and Religion in 1998, then graduated with a Masters of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School (Samford University) in 2003. He was subsequently ordained by The Church at Brook Hills (Birmingham, AL) in 2005 while serving on their staff as a Teaching Minister.

Traci grew up as a minister’s kid, with a dad who served as a Minister of Music for Southern Baptist churches in Louisiana, Ohio, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. No matter where Traci’s family went, their roots were always in Alabama. Some of her favorite memories are the summers she spent water skiing on Lake Guntersville in north Alabama. Traci was the oldest of three happy and beautiful girls. Unfortunately, she lost a younger sister in a tragic accident when Traci was just 6 years old while her family was serving at a youth camp. Her family continued serving their church in spite of their heartache, and the Lord turned that season of grief into an opportunity for ministry. Traci gave her life to Christ at age 8 and was baptized by her dad. Traci also attended Samford University, graduating in 1999 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She has taught in schools in Alabama, Mississippi, and now Tennessee where she serves as a math coach. More than anything, however, she just loves being a mom to her three kids and spending time together as a family.
